Turn on backface culling for XML UI - it’s already not interactive, and current Z-depth draw order is based on element order, so one cannot do a mirrored copy of the UI without hitting z-depth issues.

If this could be added as an option in the XML, whether the element should be backface-culled, that would be amazing.
My related issue #1103 would be resolved by this if it allows me to make two-sided UIs.

This would be great

Hopefully this can get worked on soon. Although having Fog-Of-War sync issues fixed would be even better, having either would be wonderful!

Any chance of this being researched?

Has this been looked into at all? Without it we can’t make double-sided UI elements attached to objects. The opposite side is always backwards and not interactive.

Glad to see movement on this! Amazing!

@Benjamin any update on this? Would be amazing to finally be able to make double-sided UI for miniatures in TTRPG games, and that relies on this change.

@Knil I’m glad this is seeing some traction! I’m not sure what ‘unassigned’ means in this context though. Is it planned, but just not assigned to a specific release/dev yet?

We are migrating to a new UI system we won’t be spending dev resources on this.

Understood! Is there documentation on the new system I can use to revamp? I don’t see UI tools for the new system in the public beta posts. I probably just missed it, but a direct link would be great if you have it.
