As part of the roleplaying community I would like to kindly ask for measurement units for the line tool that helps the TTRPG community to ease the measure of distances in roleplaying campaigns.
I want to start pointing out that I’m aware that there exist a measuring unit called GRID implemented. But most if not all RPG games DO NOT count grid squares as grid squares, thus the currently available grid measuring unit on the line tool is not helpful for this.
Most RPG systems count each Grid square as 5ft or 1.5m. This measurement is not the actual 1:1 scale measure, it is scaled to the grid itself.
Thus currently when we are playing TTRPG sessions we have to measure using the grid line tool and then manually convert the grid squares to feet or meters which is a really painful thing to do at every character turn.
If we could get a measuring unit for the line tool that is maybe: “5ft Grid” and “1.5m Grid” which automatically counts each grid square as 5 and the other that counts each grid square as 1.5. It would be really helpful for us as it would ease measuring distances on pen and paper RPG games a lot.
